We buy all-season styles, all day and every day, without a necessary appointment. Each Plato’s Closet location is owned and operated individually by local business owners to make shopping a little more comfortable.

Location: The shop is situated at 7400 Abercorn St in Savannah.

Hours: Monday to Saturday shopping hours: 10 to 9 p.m. and Sunday shopping hours: midday through 5 p.m. Hours of purchase are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday and from 4 p.m. Sunday noon.

Specialties: Carefully used men’s and women’s clothing and accessories. In their 20s, the shop looks to teens and people, but I’ve found many items I would wear in my 30s. It would be a great deal for you if you typically shop in juniors.

How do you buy and sell items from the store? T-shirts, sweaters, sandals, sneaker, accessories, gems, belting, scarves, bags, backpacks, book bags, sunglasses and gloves; Jeans, shirts, pants and shorts.

When do you buy items from the store? The shop buys items throughout the year. In September and October, it starts shopping for spring and summer clothing. You don’t have to hold on for the season until your clothes are usually used to sell to the store.

Do you especially look for some items right now? The shop usually buys items every year, but it favors spring/summer clothing right now. It does not accept winter or fall clothing at the moment. (Be sure to check with the store for winter and fall acceptance).

Payment: if the total buy is under $100, you will receive a cash payment. You will be paid by cheque if the purchase exceeds $100.

How do you determine what the item is going to be paid for? A computer program enables the shop to select the clothing brand, type and condition and to return the shop’s price for the item. This is usually around one-third of what they sell at the mall, and then a third of that price is paid to you.
